Crowns

A dental crown is a prosthetic that is used to cover a damaged tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. The crown is custom-made to fit over the damaged tooth like a cap.

Here's a breakdown of the dental crown procedure:

  • Examination and preparation

  • Impression

  • Temporary crown. While the permanent crown is being made in a dental laboratory, Dr. Kopf will place a temporary crown over the prepared tooth to protect it.

  • Fitting and adjustment

  • Cementation. Once satisfied with the fit, the crown will be permanently cemented in place.
